We’re a post-evangelical married couple that loves our kiddos and chases Truth with wild abandon.
About Rebeca Seitz…
Professionally, Seitz is a writer and producer. Personally, she’s the wife of Charles and mother to Firstborn (16) and Secondborn (12).
Seitz is the founding CEO of The 1C Story Network and PodPair.
From 2012 to 2018, Seitz served as President and CEO of SON Studios, a Naples-based non-profit that was founded to use stories as vehicles for positive cultural change. Under her leadership, SON helped to bring over two dozen films and books to market while educating more than 2,000 writers in the art of embedding Truth into story. Notables who spoke and taught at SON events include Brian Bird, Josh Nadler, Chad Gundersen, Dan Merrell, Micheal Flaherty, Howie Klausner, Kevin Sorbo, Brent McCorkle, Fred Thompson, and many more.
In 2005, Seitz founded Glass Road Public Relations, a firm committed to promoting story-driven works with Christian themes. It was a pioneer in its field, securing coverage for novelists on The Today Show, USA Today, Southern Living, The 700 Club, National Public Radio, Good Housekeeping, BookPage, Moody Radio, and numerous newspapers and radio shows. At the request of its clients, Glass Road expanded in 2010 to offer publishing and agenting services to writers, changing its name to Glass Road Media & Management. The first book published under the GR imprint, Nancy Zieman’s Seams Unlikely, won Book of the Year from Book Fun Magazine.
In its nine years, Glass Road worked with Tyndale, Zondervan, Waterbrook-Multnomah, David C Cook, Charisma, Barbour Books, Baker Books, Howard/Simon & Schuster, Hachette Books, Moody Publishing, Guideposts Books, AMG Publishers, B&H Publishing, NavPress, Worthy Books and others. Its writer clients populated bestseller lists from the New York Times to USA Today. In January 2014, Seitz donated Glass Road to the nonprofit SON.
Seitz began her career by serving as the first dedicated publicist for the fiction division of Thomas Nelson Publishers, one of the Top Ten Publishers in the World and now a division of HarperCollins Publishers. While there, she enjoyed serving as publicist to Charles Martin, Davis Bunn, Ted Dekker, Dr. Paul L. Maier, Frank Peretti, Denise Hildreth Jones, Robin Jones Gunn, Colleen Coble, Michael Morris and others.
She is also a published novelist and biographer: Prints Charming (Thomas Nelson), Sisters, Ink; Coming Unglued, Scrapping Plans, Perfect Piece (all B&H Publishing Group/LifeWay), First Blush and Second Glance (independent) and Lights Out (with Travis Freeman, BelieversPress).
Seitz has been interviewed or featured on NPR, CNN, Huffington Post Live, The Glenn Beck Show, The Blaze, The Washington Times, WorldNetDaily, FOX News, Townhall.com, and others. The former Family Research Council Witherspoon Fellow for Media and University of Tennessee University Scholar holds a Master of Arts in Mass Communication and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Political Science.
Seitz lives on an island off the southwest coast of Florida with her long-suffering husband, their two incredibly fabulous children, a rescued chocolate chihuahua (who may be a Russkiey toy – she’s not talking), and a rescued tabby (who’s keeping a close eye on the Mexican/Russian dog).
About Charles Seitz…
Charlie is Rebeca’s biggest fan, promotor, groupie, and foot massager. (Some of the many reasons she loves him dearly.) He’s also been her partner in marriage and parenting for over 17 years and in business nearly as long.
For twenty years, Charlie worked in the information security industry as a sales engineer for firms selling to Fortune 500 companies and top institutions of higher learning, a security analyst for the University of Tennessee, and an independent security consultant. He was a sought-after teacher and presenter for information security conferences across the nation.
He was also stressed out, always anticipating when the next hacker would get through whatever system his current high-profile clients were using, and wondering if this was really how he wanted to spend his life. When his father passed away in 2016, Charlie took stock of his life and decided a different direction was in order.
Today, he happily works as a Florida licensed yacht and ship broker with the largest yacht brokerage in America.
In the midst of his security career, Charlie helped Rebeca start and run Glass Road Public Relations as its Vice President of Operations, handling all of the tasks she didn’t want to (like HR, payroll, taxes, and technology). When Rebeca helped launch a non-profit in 2012, Charlie volunteered his services as Chief Technology Officer for the newly-formed SON Studios.
Growing up in Naples, FL, Charlie was one of just two children in the inaugural Sunday School when Faith Lutheran Church was founded as a Lutheran Church Missouri Synod congregation in his family’s living room in 1985. His father served multiple terms as President of the Faith Lutheran Church Council and his mother was the first female to be elected Vice President of the congregation. In his 20’s, Charlie attended First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Nashville, TN where he became one of the youngest elected members to the church council and served as Treasurer of the congregation.
Charlie is an alumnus of the Theta Tau Zeta chapter of Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity at Wake Forest University where he was a founding member of the re-colonized chapter. He served as Vice President and Risk Manager for the chapter. He is also an alumnus of Chi Rho Christian Men’s a cappella ensemble at WFU.
Charlie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology with a minor in History in 1998 from Wake Forest University and continues to indulge his fascination with history and archaeology here at FREEVANGELIC.
He is a licensed private pilot, certified scuba diver, and happy homebrewer.
